Introduction into DSLR Lenses. Learn about the various types of lenses. What is the sweat spot in your lens? Why do lenses vary in price so much and how to get the most from your camera and it's lenses. What distortions do lenses have. Attendees should know basic camera operation of a DSLR or mirrorless cameras to get the full impact of this session.

Are you looking for a new, exciting art idea for your students in grades 1-9? In this workshop, you will learn how to create colourful fish using mixed media technique. The level of difficulty can be adjusted according to the grade level taught. Open to art and general teachers of grades 1- 9. You will be provided with a set of handouts and a PowerPoint presentation that can be used directly in your art classrooms. All supplies provided by instructor.
$10 registration fee. 

This hall is where the concession will be running, with tables to sit and enjoy when taking a break.

There will also be 10 'booths' sectioned off and scheduled for specific collaboration topics.

Use the collaboration booths to spark conversation with others about all sorts of education topics! Use an available space to sit down and continue a discussion from a session you just attended, or to start the work it has inspired. This is YOUR space to develop the knowledge and networks you gain at convention.

New to teaching drama? No idea where to begin? Have you been doing this for years and feel caught in a rut? Have specific questions about blocking, design, tech etc? Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience or background. Bring questions, ideas, or concerns to share and discuss with your theatrical colleagues and find ways to grow and develop as a drama teacher.

In this session I will introduce you to the Cricut and will show you the basics of how to use Cricut Design Space. Attendees will be shown how projects created can enhance learning and add a touch of creativity in the classroom. I will show how to create both cardstock and vinyl projects and provide links for further learning. This will be a make and take session.

In this session participants will have the opportunity to engage in the art making process to experience how art can promote positive mental health in the classroom. Emphasis will be on process over product and teachers will leave with several projects and strategies that they can implement in their classrooms.

Creating a successful portrait is most challenging. But don't despair! This workshop will teach you how to create a realistic portrait that will be completed in various mediums of your choice. The level of difficulty can be adjusted according to the grade level taught. Participants will be provided with set of handouts to use directly in their art classrooms. Open to teachers grades 4-12. All materials provided. $15 registration fee.

This session combines techniques and strategies to effectively use the vibrant colours of the oil pastels. Creating new colours, blending colours and achieving texture will be explored by step-by-step demonstration of each project. These projects can be modified for any grade level and abilities. All the supplies are being provided and the fee for this session is $10.
