Math classes can sometimes leave you wondering if your students are learning the concepts being taught. Formative Assessment Activities can be used in K-4 classrooms in order to determine which students learned the lesson, which students are a little shaky, and which students require more support. Several number sense formative assessment resources and activities for you to use in your classrooms will be modeled and shared including assessments for determining what mental math strategies your students already know when doing basic facts. These activities take very little time but they make a huge difference when navigating what direction to go next with each learner. Join me for fun and practical and "work smarter not harder" ideas that reflect responsive teaching.
