Did you know that you can use fish waste to grow food sustainably in a symbiotic relationship between fish and plant? In this session, Alex Bernier will showcase some of the trials, tribulations, successes, and failures that the after-hours St. Paul Regional High School Science Club has encountered in their ventures with aquaponics. Specifically, aquaponic floats, flood-and-drain grow beds, and nutrient film technique (NFT) will be covered and how it can fit into your Science curriculum. Come learn how to set-up your own easy-to-manage aquaponic system and various methods you can receive funding to start your very own aquaponics system in your classroom. Nothing stinky about this session! Here fishy fishy!
